JESUS said it…

JESUS SAID IT…..

Today as I reflect on some things in life, I realize I have been so very blessed and honored to be asked by a prominent member of our city to be a part of a program that helps those get into treatment recovery programs….instead of putting them in jail…we offer help.  This has had so many different and rewarding days and it takes the complete love and strength of Jesus for me to accomplish any of it.  Without Christ…I can do NO THING!!

I wanted to share one area of study in the Bible that really moved my heart …and it is in Matthew 25:31-46.  This speaks of what will happen at Christ’s return.  As we begin to read the opening of the story, JESUS is SPEAKING and  it goes as follows:  

Matthew 25:31: Then the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:³² And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:³³ And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

So we see here that Jesus comes in all his glory and all the holy angels and as the nations are gathered before him…Jesus separates them and on His right hand he sets the SHEEP…and on His left hand he sets the GOATS.

Then as I’ve said before, if JESUS speaks we ought to listen…

³⁴ Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: ³⁵ For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: ³⁶ Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

So we see here where JESUS SAID…to the SHEEP…”Come and inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world”….and Jesus also said they were BLESSED.  

So we have to really want to be not only in a mode to receive a blessing from Jesus, but also to receive our inheritance.  

The sheep also known as “the righteous” in verse 37..were confused and asked Jesus when they had fed the hungry, gave the thirsty a drink, took in a stranger, gave away some clothes, and visited the sick and those in prison…and Jesus again SAID:….

⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

So here is a VERY life-impacting verse…that WHATEVER we do to others, we DO TO JESUS.

I have to ask….are we really grasping the enormity of this statement?  When we are ugly to others, or choose not to give to those in need, or put others on the street….do we get what we have just done??  WOW!  

Jesus also goes on to say to the GOATS…

⁴¹ Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:⁴² For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:⁴³ I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Jesus cast these GOATS from his presence into “everlasting fire”…and he also called them “CURSED”.  Again these GOATS were confused as to when the had NOT GIVEN to JESUS food, water and had not gave him shelter, or clothing and did not visit him while sick or in prision….and Jesus reminded them….

⁴⁵ Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

So again…let us remember to take very seriously where our “HEART MOTIVE” is….are we giving to all those that are in need?  And let us remember that we are called to “BECOME LOVE” to all those within our sphere of influence.  Jesus did not really put any conditions on WHOM we feed or give something to drink.  

Let us NEVER be guilty of turning away anyone that has even the simplest need for food, water, clothing or shelter….because there was also a FINAL statement from JESUS….and HE said to these GOATS….

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

LET US ALWAYS REMEMBER….when “you have done it unto of of the least of these my BRETHREN”, you have done it to JESUS!!

WALK IN LOVE….give to those in need.
