Your ROLE MODEL Guides Your Message!

Are we PREACHING CHRIST? Remember the WORDS of JESUS? I always say IF JESUS SAID IT….it’s probably worth hearing and obeying.

Mark 16: 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature

Our GREAT COMMISSION has been to go into ALL the WORLD, and PREACH the GOOD NEWS….the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST. Jesus came to redeem a lost world back to the Father. Why are we SO busy preaching anything else? I don’t need man’s opinion on how I should “live my best life”…I have ALL the INSTRUCTION I NEED in HIS WORD! HIS WORD is not only full of wisdom but full of LIFE ETERNAL!

Galatians 1:⁶ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:⁷ Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.⁸ But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.⁹ As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.¹⁰ For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

These verses say that if we become “men pleasers” we “should NOT be the SERVANT of CHRIST”. If you say you are doing all you are doing as a servant of Christ, I would have to ask you ….
“WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE SAYING??:

IF you are pointing others to YOU instead of JESUS, I would have to ask “WHAT IS YOUR HEART SAYING??”

I do agree there are many great books out there, but I use them as commentary….NOT as MY FINAL AUTHORITY! If I get off my straight and narrow path, the Holy Spirit always guides me gently back to HIS WORD! IF I stay in HIS WORD, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, I can never go wrong!

I do also agree that there are many great leaders who can impart wisdom through their personal experience to us. I always suggest when choosing someone to teach you or mentor you, that they FIRST have the personal experience and are successful in what you are hoping to learn from them.

My MENTOR, LIFE COACH, COUNSELOR, ROLE MODEL and TEACHER that has absolutely affected my life and has left the biggest impact is…..JESUS!! I believe we are to honor those gifts that God has sent us in our life, the men and women that preach HIM, but I don’t think that we need to praise, worship, lift up or FOLLOW a mere mortal man ABOVE JESUS! When we do this…we move into idolatry! This is NOT a place we want to be.

I ask us all to consider that whenever we start to LISTEN, or OBEY a man over GOD, we are no longer GOD PLEASERS but MAN PLEASERS.

My heart is that we will CHOOSE the BIBLE as the MOST IMPORTANT BOOK we will ever read! I pray that ALL of US will CHOOSE JESUS as our preferred MENTOR and FOLLOW HIM.

To my KNOWLEDGE, JESUS is the ONLY ONE that EVER DIED for me!
