One BODY…many MEMBERS

ONE BODY, MANY MEMBERS….

Today I feel a need to express some things that I am seeing that really grieve my heart!!  DIVISION in the BODY of CHRIST is NOT God’s heart!!  

What does the word tell us?  

ROMANS 12 :3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

It tells us to not get puffed up and that we are ALL ONE BODY in CHRIST, having many members.  This is NOT speaking of a “MEMBERS ONLY CLUB”!!  I am really greived that I see SOOO MUCH “SELF-promotion” going on, and not UNITY!  I see little “CLIQUES” forming in social media groups and instead of helping to encourage and promote OTHERS, we are CLOSING our ‘little cliques” and saying you can’t come in unless you are “approved”? 

Women of the Vine is ALL about helping other women grow, be equipped, encouraged and sent out to do what GOD has called women to do individually.  Since when did it become all about “YOU”?  If we are truly wanting to empower women, we have to come together as a BODY UNITED, NOT DIVIDED!!  

I think we can ALL agree that we NEVER want to become “an abomination to the Lord”!!  YET when we start sowing seeds of “DISCORD” (strife, contention) in the BODY, we have become JUST THAT!…an abomination!!  

Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.   Let us continue to seek UNITY in the BODY!!  I mean, after all this was JESUS’s very important LAST PRAYER in John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may BE ONE in US: that the world may BELIEVE that thou has sent me!

UNITY is a SIGN for the unbelievers…a WITNESS of JESUS and HIS LOVE!

PLEASE let us ALL GET IT!  We have to STOP sowing seeds of division and discord!!  Paul tells us in Phillippians 1:18 that “What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein DO REJOICE, yea, and WILL REJOICE.”  Even JESUS warned John in Luke 9:49 “And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us 50 And JESUS SAID unto him, FORBID HIM NOT: for he that is not against us is for us”.  

SO MY philosphoy has ALWAYS BEEN if JESUS SAID IT, it does NOT MATTER WHAT “my own opionion is”.  WE have to stop putting our opinions and philosophy as MORE IMPORTANT than “THE WORDS OF JESUS”!!!

STOP the MADNESS.  Those that are preaching against the spirit of religion and traditions of men, against the pharisees…I WARN YOU to NOT BECOME a “Pharisee of the Pharisee’s” and NOT BECOME what you are preaching against!

LET US ALL EXAMINE our OWN HEARTS…take the beam out of your own eye.  Let us not become “ENVIOUS” of others who are just trying to “PREACH CHRIST”!!

PLEASE PLEASE….WALK in LOVE and UNITY!!
